I'm using Linux Mint 17.1 KDE version. I'll just copypaste the terminal here. It should explain a little bit about the problem.

Did you try a full flash, including flashing EMMC image ?
Also, if you have installed nitDroid, the partitions needs to be reconfigured as they have changed, which could also be a cause of this error. Then you would need the '--no-preserve' option to flasher.

I was going to flash the emmc too, after the main.bin. Am i supposed to do it like that or am i supposed to write the main.bin and emmc.bin commands in the terminal at the same time? I've been using this site as a guide: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=82693

I Don't know much about the phones history, what was installed in it but it is actually my girlfriends old phone so i dont think that she'd install anything but Facebook, etc. in it.

Sorry about the poor language (i'm Finnish) and the fact that I'm somewhat a noobie on using the terminal. I have very little experience of Linux. Always been using Windows. And thanks for the help.

So what should i write in the terminal now when i start over with the flashing?

sudo flasher -f -F main.bin -F emmc.bin --no-preserve

after this, reboot with

sudo flasher -R

I'm still stuck at work but will try this in about three hours. Hope you can help with the next problem as well. I'm pretty sure that there's gonna be a couple.

Very much appreciated, thanks!

Now when i try to turn on the phone, instead of the black screen i get nokia logo appearing to the screen for about 1 second and then there comes the yellow triangle with an exclamation point inside and theres a lot of text. Of course it in Finnish on my case but it goes something like ,Warning! The user has made changes to the devices software and thereby warranty is void etc etc.

What should i try now?

Seems that if i connect the phone to the computer when not running the flasher, it just tries to start the phone over and over again without me pressing the power button or anything. Don't know if that makes any difference.

Have you tried different USB cables, flashing can go bonkers with an el cheapo cable that normally works OK.

I've tried 2 cables. An el chiepo one and an el f***ing expensive one (i think 20euros two or three years ago) that is Nokia's original cable. That is what i use now.

Hi.
From the '/tmp/....' in the error messages I bet you may have some sort of permissions issues.
Try to flash with the same commands, but sudoing as user 'root': I don't think it would pose any problems.

Regards.
