I was bored and decided to check out the uptimes on my computers.. then I remembered that N800 is a linux based comp too so it might have the same counter. Fired up the xterm, commanded $ uptime and to my surprise got a reply:

up 7 days

Pretty good for "just an internet tablet" but I'm sure this is easily beaten by others. How are your uptimes coming up?

Only 3 days here right now but that is because I forgot to plug it in a few nights ago so the battery went dead ... oops.

26 days

Not too shabby, I hadn't realized it was that long.

41 days, 58 minutes.

Pretty average, for a Linux station...

29 days... don't remember why I reboot it, but guess it was something related to low batt. There is some program crashing but the OS seems pretty rock solid (tough I don't try to force it to its limit)

Three days, mainly because I use kismet from time to time.

I got more than uptime, it returns,

up 1 day, 6:50, load average: 1.82, 1.07, 0.57.

what are those extra numbers?

TIA

Do you guys leave it on all the time? Lock the display? Soft power off (which leaves the wifi working anyway)?
Just curious, I,ve had the tablet for a week and I turn it off when not in use.

Mine is probably only 2 days as it crashed and reset itself the day before yesterday.

Soft power-off and just leave it plugged in when I'm at home. I pretty much never turn it off unless I happen to accidentally run the battery out or need to reboot.

The load averages are simple way to compare how busy the processor is. Its simply the number of processes competing for the processors time, the average number during a specific time period. The first number is last 5 minutes, the second last 10, and the third last 15.
