Both, and let us know which works?

I'd guess almost certainly N800, but it won't do any harm either way; it'll either work, or not work.

here the same, n800 version on my 770 2007HE seems to work. No palm stuff to try, though

I downloaded the n800 version and successfully installed on my 770 2007HE; however, it won't sync my Palm address book. (It runs through the entire process, but the data isn't showing up on the 770.)

Tried the n770 version with 2007HE and I'm missing a file, so it won't install.

does it say what file you are missing? did you uninstall the n800 version first?

I uninstalled the 800 version.

I needed libxau0, so I went into red pill mode and installed that. Then installed the 770 Garnet version. It loaded once, crashed during the hotsync, and then when I loaded it, I couldn't connect to GVM (error 0x3004000).

Rebooted and successfully went through the resync but the data isn't appearing in Garnet. I do use InstallBuddy and PocketMirror, so perhaps those are creating a problem. Unfortunately, no problems appear during the hotsync. It appears to operate normally.

UPDATE:

With a little time on hand last night, I removed my previous Handspring Desktop software from my Windows PC, uninstalled the pro level version of Pocketmirror, and performed a fresh install of the Palm Desktop 4.1.

Then, since I'm using the latest 2007HE on my 770, I installed the 800 version of Garnet. No dice.

Uninstalled Garnet, installed the 770 version and I was able to sync my Outlook address book. (Update 12/20/07: Hmm, after refreshing my OS2007HE, I installed the n800 version and it worked. So much for my earlier theory)

It appears that the pro version of Pocketmirror was creating a problem for me.

So the magic combo (at least for me) is: if you're syncing to Outlook, use the standrd Pocketmirror that installs with Palm Desktop and if you're using a 770 (regardless of OS version) install the 770 Garnet.

Hope this helps others.
