This game would be amazing! Nokia oughtta funnel money into that as it'd be a PERFECT game to come with the next gen tablet / ITOS. I hope it's optimized, with processor speeds now sometimes something simple like that won't run on a 400mhz processor.
Ow this is really nice =)
I think I will propose here in the office to do something with the guys about it.
Its a very nice way to play "incredible machine" but the dude just hit the nail with the concept =)
nice nice nice!

I tried it on my "big" tablet and it is indeed a game meant for stylus-driven computers.
I also proposed the author the idea to make it into more than just a game: I'd love to see this as a "living" drawing sheet for children; and if it were possible to incorporate physics for creatures (walking, flying, whatnotting...), not the sky but the top of your screen would be the limit.
In any case, it'd sure beat watching DVDs on the back seat for three hours...

I know I would, Uh I mean my daughter would really enjoy this game. If possible keep us updated on the progress on this, if any.
I would love to see this pursued further also. I downloaded the Crayon Physics game and my kids loved playing it on the PC with a mouse. Even though it is pretty limited in that early version.

I downloaded the original version of crayon physics to my itronix ix-250(military grade, touchscreen laptop). I was hooked immediatly..except for the lame music heh. It kept me and my drunk buddies occupied for a couple hours last weekend! Would a port be possible of the original crayon physics version? its pretty basic and not near as advanced as the one the owner is developing now, but i love it on my touchscreen laptop, and id love it even more on my nokia

well, if it's on the touch we know it can be ported here, its just the matter of finding a genius, any volunteers?
Note that only the demo was ported, not the game (with the puzzles)
You can get iPhysics and levelpacks by adding the following repository to the Installer.app sources:

The main iPhysics site is here:

This is on your iPhone or iPod Touch of course...

Source for a very similar game
I agree that this looks like a fun game.

Trust Microsoft to develop something "similar"...

Not only that, they've cunningly gone ahead and done it over a year -ahead- of the person working on it now.
Is there no end to their evil ways?

There was another one that was out a few months prior to the MS one. It fell out of active development, and I'm not sure where to find it. It wasn't Crayon Physics because the initial prototype is from June 2007.
I remember hearing the news of the MS one and thinking "haven't I seen this before?"

Here's a Google Code page for a similar game someone is developing:

Could this be ported to the maemo platform?

I tried to compile, but gave up when it got to the OpenGL part :)

It's very nice, and some inner child inside me keeps going: "Wanna!", but I still prefer the freehand goofiness of Crayon Physics. What I really want is a combination of these two programs.
Phun looks similar (and fun too).

But I guess the lack of OpenGL support on the ITs mean it's a no-go...
There's no source anyway :)
I wonder if someone noticed that in the garage there's a project called Numpty Physics... Someone is working on it too. :)
Hint: it compiles and runs :)

I wrote Petri Purho, the developer two weeks ago (email: hisfirstname dot hislastname at gmail (petri.purho@gmail.com)) and said the same thing.
He wrote back:
You might be able to do it. I can't promise anything, but I'm hoping of releasing the game for Linux as well. Don't know what will happen though.I suggest everyone who has posted to this thread write him with the same request.
This game is made for the internet tablets. We just have to persuade him to actually make it for our tablets.
