View Full Version : Anyone able to install MaemoPad+?
It's a "featured app" on Tableteer. The link goes to the SourceForge page. I click the OS2008 installer, which complains about a missing dependency. I scroll down the SourceForge page and see there's separate OS2008 installer for the dependency, libsomethingorother. Try to install that and it says "Invalid package format" or something similar.
I tried on an N810 and a N800 running OS 2008
Anyone get it installed?

search this thread http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11024 and add all the repositories so that you can install from app manager
Yes, I installed it with no problem, no worries about dependencies.
My basic procedure for installation was to go to this site:
http://www.gronmayer.com/it/
and install all the 2008 repositories there.
Then open Application Manager and go down the list of installable programs and install virtually all the programs that would actually install.
Maemopad+ was fairly early and installed without a hitch.
Thanks for the pointers.
Should I file a bug on Bugzilla that Tableteer sends people down a road that ends in sadness?
Update: I just did. Seems like if Tableteer is meant to be the consumer front-end, then it should least lead you to a working app installer.
Also, take advantage of the select all feature.
Thanks for the "Select All" tip. I missed that at first. I thought I had hand-installed all the repositories, but saw only MaemoPad, not MaemoPad+.
After doing a Select All, it's there now, along with some other new items.
