Edit: I hate working with images. Give me a minute they posted all screwed up.
_____
I'd rather not download my music videos from i-tunes or sites such as that and as we alll know, pretty much any music video you can think of has been posted to YouTube by now. So last night I used one of those websites that downloads youtube videos in .FLV format to convert to AVI and put on my tablet. Problem was in addition to those websites constantly crashing my browsers (mozilla, opera and even IE as my last resort), the resolution was lacking. Youtube videos come with the black bar around the video which shrinks the screen size on the tablet. So I looked for a (free) way to crop these videos, and here is my guide. The final videos were played using the built in player so any 3rd party video player should work with these just fine.

Step one - Find the video you want to put on your tablet

Skip the download sites and just get a youtube downloading program. I used Vdownloader (http://www.vdownloader.es/). It is a simple, near zero resource program that does not need to be installed. Just download, unzip and run from whatever folder it is in. Best thing about the program is that when you copy a YouTube link address it gets auto-pasted into the program.

Once you've downloaded your video, you'll need to crop out the black borders. For that I used MediaCoder (http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/). Load the program and drag'N'drop your VDownloaded YouTube video in it. Then Click the Extension button.

Of the built-in plugins, the PSP had the best "default" settings because that device is widescreen.

Uncheck the Download to PSP and Check improve image quality. Select whatever resolution you want the output to be processed as.

Choose Crop and then select the option to crop freehand.

When you are done, process the video

Once you've Cropped and processed the video, you have to convert it to N800 standards. For that I used Nokia N800 Video Convert (http://xoomer.alice.it/sepaolo/n800vc/). Again, Drag'N'Drop your file output from the MediaCoder and you can see the preview of how it will look on your tablet. I found that you should not use the 2 pass encoding method. This caused a 1/2 second delay between voice and video, at least on my tablet. Tweak it, Add it, and click Start.

Editing should be done. ImageShack to the rescue - I think.
If all the images work, enjoy the guide and start filling up all those nook and crannies of your SDHC cards :D
