How to install GPE

Could someone help me get GPE up and running? I got the GPE repository from http://www.cobb.uk.net/apt/. When I try to install the calendar it tells me it's missing libsoup.

After a search here I found I needed the Maemo Hackers repository from http://maemo-hackers.org/apt which I got.

Problem is I don't see any libsoup package!

Any help greatly appreciated. I did search but could find nothing in terms of a walk-through or guide.

i had this problem yesterday.
what i did was:

1. went to http://www.cobb.uk.net/NokiaIT/index.html
2. transfered the gpe-calendar.install to my sd card. (under GPE)
3. double clicked on the file and it installed via application manager.

it will also automatically add another respository. so i deleted the old gpe one.

I have the same problem - libsoup missing even though I have added the cobb repository.
Why is installing stuff on the N8xx so bloody difficult with missing files, crapped repositories etc?
