I'm just about to start a ship-design job in London's Fenchurch Street (this Monday!), so I figured I need a nice pen. As I'm planning on toting my 770, I needed a stylus, too.

I found the Faber-Castell Duo / Trio, which I then ordered & it just arrived. It's BEAUTIFUL!

You can see someone else's review [ here ] (http://www.kickstartnews.com/reviews/pda/faber_castell_duo_ballpen_stylus.html) and I quite agree with them ... Well made, no rattle, it feels 'solid' & 'clicky'. The pen equivalent of the good thunk of a heavy car door - that's the best way I can explain it. It writes well & the stylus tip is smooth. It's nice & comfortable to hold - the grip is much nicer than the photographs make it look. There's another reveiw [ here ] (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=115270) on the aximsite.com boards.

After looking, the cheapest place (£32) in the UK is [ cultpens.com ] (http://www.cultpens.com/acatalog/Metal_IT_Multi_function.html#a765) and I got free next day delivery too!

I know [ styluscentral.com ] (http://www.styluscentral.com/faduopenands.html) do them in the US ($40).

If anyone's looking for a little indulgence for their 770, this is it!

"twist to alternate between ballpoint pen and stylus mode"

adl: Please. Always, always check to make sure it's in stylus mode before using your 770. I'll cry if you don't. ;)

At least you can give the I.T. guys a heart attack :D

I don't think I would ever get one of these. I'd be too afraid to get ink on the screen.

so the stylus tip is grey? yeah i wouldn't like that. that's why others are bright white, yellow, or orange so you can see right off if you have the wrong tip out

Strange. The triple-tip "pen" I'd bought a few years back had a hot-orange stylus nib.

On the topic of sexy styluses... I'm using the titanium stylus I'd bought with the Rhino pack for my now long retired Palm IIIxe. The Rhino itself got eaten, but the stylus is doing well.

The stylus tip is grey, but the pencil is most definitely a pencil & the pen has a blue strip around it so they're very easily distinguishable.

I'm going to be using a screen protector anyway.

Speaking of fancy-pants stylus's:

I got one of these for my birthday:

http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Product_Id=187218

- Pen
- Stylus
- White LED light
- Laser

It's all metal (I need that, I am rough on pens), and good quality. It is heavy, but I concider that a feature, not a bug. Some of the others are too skinny for me.

It has an HP logo, but that is OK by me since my MythTV system runs on an HP HTPC.

So don't try to out fancy-pants stylus me ! :)

I use a Lamy 2000:

Specifically, I have a four color ball point version. You don't twist it, you just hold it so the color you want is facing up. I replaced the green cartridge with a Lamy stylus refill.

I think it's got a really nice, clean design, and is one of the best looking multi-color ballpoint pens out there. It looks modern, despite having actually been designed in 1966.

The tip is grey rather than the bright orange that some of the others are, but personally I do prefer that.

Does anybody know if it's possible to buy the original Nokia stylus? I lost one of the ones included in the box, still have 1 left but i'd like to replace the one i lost...the Nokia 770 stylus is really poor but very useful :D

Actually it is my third one. Lost one in a taxi (I think). The second one broke so knowing Lamy have a lifetime warranty I called the place I got it from and they said sure, bring it in. I took it in, they sent it to the local NZ Lamy agents. They couldn't fix it so they sent it back to Germany. A few weeks later I get back a brand new pen since they couldn't fix the original. They didn't charge me anything but a few buck handling fee which I was happy to pay. Just have to remember NOT to use the fountain pen on the screen. That would be very bad! Putting a stylus tip in the 4 colour Lamy is a brilliant idea though!

I have a Rotring Quattro Data and I am quite happy with it. The only con is that it is painted in black and in some points you already can see the brass that's under the painting (I bought it last Christmas...).

Except from that, it works perfectly
