View Full Version : [Canola] Not detecting all pictures?

The application seems to fine some of the images in the folder, but not others. Yet they're taken by the same camera, loaded onto the SD card the same way and have similar filenames (# sequence)

It sees the folder "Pictures" but when I go into it, only three of the pictures (all of them taken at a different time) show up. Any idea what's happening? I noticed this wasn't a problem mentioned in any threads I clicked through.

Hi Laughing man!

This is strange, can you send us some of the folder zipped (if it's not personal pictures of course) so we can test with that?

We haven't face this but we would be glad to solve if its a bug!

Sure I can send you some of the pictures in the folder. But I don't have an email.

Ok, I just cleared it. But wow is that little room, it was just one message from a guy wanting a GrandCentral invite, a reply, and a thanks from him that was taking up that space lol.

Hi guys, I have also the same problem that Canole cannot shows the pictures in some folders. I have tried to divide the original whole folder into many sub-folders and then move and distribute the pictures into those sub-folders. I finally can have the pictures showed in Canole. It seems the problem of not showing the image in particular folder is related to the number of files in that folder. If the no. of files is reduced, then the problem does not exist.

Originally, there were totally 890 files and of the size of 127MB in a folder.
I only tried to put up to 300 files (about 36MB) in a sub-folder and the photos can then be shown in Canole.

Why doesn't Canola detect and display .png's? The built-in viewer can handle them and the snapshot tools defaults to save as .png (portable network graphics).

Hi RDcinhou... it is not a "bug" but more "lack of time" problem, that was solved and it's coming in the update that WE really want to release this week. We are just suffering with DBUS problems on BORA, but we will make it.
