Sorry if Im repeating a question thats already been asked........I checked the text input section of the wiki and also used the Google ITT search before posting this but never found an answer.
Is there a way to turn off the blasted text suggestions? They are driving me crazy flashing up on the screen constantly as I type at about 75 wpm. Ive checked various settings on my tablet but havent been able to find a way to turn them off.............knowing me, the answer is right in front of me. I dont know if it matters but I have an n800 thats running OS2008.

Thanks all,

Shannon

Thanks General *sheepish grin*

I somehow knew the answer was right in front of me. I have looked at the control panel under text input MANY times but missed that little settings button under languages.....figured the answer wasnt under languages and just skipped right over it.

Thank you for saving my mind....I was being driven to madness with those words flashing up constantly.

Hmm, I was first thinking you will ask about that extra bar on the bottom when typing with N810 builtin keyboard. Recently found by coincidence that shift+space turns it off (maybe because it switches input methods and also enables virtual kebooard). Not sure if it is bug or feature.

Yea, what the hell is that bar for? I've assumed that it's only to provide the space for the word completion feature, but is it there all the time?

(Thanks for the shift+space hint.)

It's there with the BT keyboard on my N800, too. Many thanks, Fanoush!
