I am running OS2008. My Jabra BT8010 Bluetooth Stereo headset pairs and works with my n800 to playback music with either MPlayer or Kagu (not well, but at least I get sound.) The pairing info says it is an audio/visual device and the supported profiles are HSF, HSP. The Logitech FreePulse pairs with the n800 and says it is a audio/visual device but does not show any supported profiles. It never seems to connect - that is the BT icons does not light up to blue color, nor does the speaker icon switch to headsets. I cannot find any connection settings to force a Bt connection.

How can I get these to support A2DP?

(I am a Linux novice.)

There's no official A2DP support, but there is a thread floating around the forums here where someone hacked it in (one can only hope that with the next OS update that A2DP will be offically supported). Right now if you enable it thru the hack it has some issues like 50% cpu usage.

The hack I saw was for OS2007. I thought I read the OS2008 supported A2DP.

can i use the OS2007 have for OS2008?

The new OS does not support A2DP profile. My guess is that the Freepulse only supports the A2DP Profile (I have no idea)? There is a thread where some people have actually gotten this to work, but as previously stated, it is a CPU hog. Hopefully with the next OS update, they include A2DP support.
