I love having KDE on my tablet, thanks PB. I just have a few questions.

1. Is KDE faster with a dual boot than with the easy install method?

2. I was messing around with themes and now I can't get to the menus when running Maemo apps. I tried to download PB's default theme he posted, but that did not work. Does anyone know how to get the menus back?

3. Is it possible to remove some of the programs that are included with the install. I don't need or want a lot of the programs such as CD player and KPPP.

I would also like to see better video playback with KDE.

Thanks

Just from my own experience:

1. a little bit faster (noticeable but not stunning)
2. if you're using the n810, doesn't pushing the menu button
on the keyboard work?
3. you can erase the binaries and edit the menu (but there are many
interdependent libraries so a thorough "cleaning" would be tricky)
4. for me, playback improved a lot (though it's still not as good as
in hildon) when I issued this command as root:
renice 5 `pidof mmcqd`

I'm using a N800 so I don't have the keyboard. There is a menu button (that I forgot about) that I will give a try.

what does renice 5 `pidof mmcqd` do?

I know enough about Linux to get into trouble. I've actuly been using it on my desktop for a few years, but tend to use the GUI tools more than the command line.

I'm not sure what mmcqd does - it seems to be some
kind of file system index crawler or something.

The "nice" level is how high a priority a process gets
(0 normal, -19 extremely high priority, + values
lower priority).

From other threads here, it seems that mmcqd sometimes
is given a -5 priority which makes media playing
stutter.

In xterm or konsole (in kde) just typing:

sudo renice 5 `pidof mmcqd`

should do it (that is the left single quote btw).

One other thing I forgot. Flash would be nice. I would like to watch you tube and other videos.
