Can I download files with this? And save them onto the memory card?
Can't do that with my iphone.

Yes you can. Clicking on a link to a file will ask you where to save it, or hold down the stylus and get 'save target to' on the link. You can also save web pages along with the images they contain for offline viewing.

YES! That really makes me want to buy one now. This or the N810.

Another issue with the iPhone is that if you take it overseas you are likely to get landed with a huge bill for data usage (http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/feb/23/mobilephones.apple). At least the n810 doesn't have a built-in mobile phone so it is much easier to control costs. :D
