Confounding Cross: 3:44
Pyramid's Walls: 3:32
Tic-Tac-Toe: 3:16

Four Bridges: 3:58
my girlfriend did it in 2:34 (standard mode) :p
and i am trying it now for two weeks to be better...no chance! My best effort was something with 4 minutes...
I got 2:16 in standard mode a while back and never beat 2:45 since.

I'm terrible at this game...but I think I can do better if I can see the darn tiles. I wonder if there's a way to replace the tiles with more visible ones. I have such a hard time making out the tiles...and even in marbles the balls looks so simular in color. As you can probably tell, I'm somewhat "colors challenged".

Red Dragon: 5:28
I did it in 5:21! :)

Pyramid's Walls: 3:32
Tic-Tac-Toe: 3:16
Cloud: 4:59
Red Dragon: 5:28
Four Bridges: 3:58
i've had several lengthy plane rides upon which to hone my skills:
standard - 2:42
lotus flower - 1:55
confounding cross - 3:21
pyramid's walls - 3:55
tic-tac-toe - 3:55 as well
cloud - 4:32
red dragon - 3:18
four bridges - 4:20
i have mainly played standard and lotus flower, and have only played the others enough to make it through without "stalling" and without having to reshuffle the tiles. lotus flower has received the most attention, clearly.
1:28 Lotus Flower
I was very surprised, and have never since been able to reproduce it. (generally 12+ secs slower) Clearly, I have too much time on my hands.
lotus flower 2:23 (previous one was 2:35 or so)
standard 2:02, i recently updated to 2006IT edition but my records should have been backed up somewhere...
my wife's times...
std 2:56
lotus 2;26
cross 2;46
tic tac 3;05
cloud 2;47
red dragon 3;08
bridges 3;12
I'm rubbish though
i never get better than 4 minutes in std :(
They should change this chinese(?) Tiles in something better recognisable... per example CARS :)

I agree that the tiles are horrible... Anybody got a replacement PNG?

I find when I'm playing every once in a while I need to have my brain change what it's looking for. The yellow tiles especially, they may as well be invisible unless I consciously look for them. 3:12 on std. :)

Pyramid's Walls 2:58

Tips for improving your time:
- Play the one with the worst time
- Set informal time goals to beat (mine were 4:00, 3:30, 3:15, 3:00, now 2:45)
- Play, Play, Play!:)

standard 1:50 - wow.
no chance of me gettin up there unless i edit the scorekeeping file ;p
saw one or two that have posted that are in the running though..
good luck
My record for standard is 1:52. My wife beat me at 1:42.
I love Mahjong games but I have trouble seeing the tiles on my n800. In most lighting I have a glare on the screen. Any suggestions? Are there any more Mahjong games that will install?
This is off topic for Mahjong but I can't install Bejeweled. Can you help? Also do you know any other good puzzle games that will install?
I am new to this operating system. So I don't fully understand everything. I use windows on my laptop and desktop.

all less than 4 minutes (don't remember he actual times)
mostly around 3 mins
1.28 seems really cool :)
Would be really good if mahjong chucked up its scores to an online scoreboard.
...mind you if that happened I don't think my wife would stop until she 0wn3d the board!
I'd love to see more online multiplayer games in general, but yeah, that would also be nice.
It really makes a difference to your motivation in playing a game, seeing yourself listed against other people; I even pushed myself in ps3 lemmings to try to get in the top 100... adds longevity and incentive. A quick win.

lol, my sis used to steal my tablet just so that she could play mahjong. After a while I started getting jealous so i started playing. And one thing me and my sis used to was play mahjong at the same time. I would use one stylus while she would use the extra stylus that come with the n800. About my scores I think I could beat each game in under 3.5 minutes. I updated my tablet so all the scores got deleted so i don't know about exact times.

lol, the same thing hapeens to me. Sometimes when I'm stuck, I'll just minimize mahjong and then open it up again. It helps me see a whole bunch of pieces that I would normally not see.
i love that game (my scores can also show that...)
standard - 2:23
Lotus flower - 2:00
confounding cross - 2:57 :(
pyramid's walls - 2:25
tic-tac-toe - 2:40
cloud - 2:30
red dragon - 2:29
four bridges - 2:43
between my fiancee and i, every puzzle is sub-4:00 with the fastest being lotus at 3:09.

That's strange!
Not really, you have multiple pairs of the some pieces. You have 4 or 6 IIRC of those in the image. Thus, if you match up the 'wrong' pair, you might end up blocking yourself, though usually not as explicitly as shown on the image :)
Also, Mahhjong can be a multiplayer game, in the same vein as frozen bubble is, for example. If you remove a pair, the other player 'gets' a pair on his board, or giving 'special powers' to certain tiles which makes it easier/harder for the opponent to find his pairs.

Standard 2:43
Lotus 2:27
Confounding 2:44
Pyramid's 2:31
Tic-tac 2:46
Cloud 2:37
Red 2:22
Four 2:43
and it's going down!
Being a Chinese, all I can say is that this is NOT mahjong.. Just wish there was a proper REAL Mahjong somewhere for this phone (not through flash or emulation)..
Wonder if there are any open sourced ones that I can try recompiling??

Ok, here you are, comprehensive list of freeware, shareware and open-source (!several!) implementations of Mahjong

Qt# Mahjong looks promising. Its source is here:

Sorry mate.. I did say the "real Mahjong"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahjong
Played with traditionally 4 players (or 2), very similar to the game "Rummy" - not Mahjong Solitaire as what this is..
Thanks for the response though..

Ok, what about this one?
http://mahjong.julianbradfield.org/
a networked Mah Jong program
can be played by four humans, by a human and three computer players, or any other combination
The version of Mah Jong is that generally called Chinese Classical.
There are many variants within this; I [author of program] intend to accommodate most of the more interesting variants via options, but this is future work.
The programs should compile and run on any reasonably modern Unix system. (This is known to include GNU/Linux, Solaris and Irix.)
For version 1.10 (Linux), you need GTK+2
To build the programs from source, you also need Perl, and preferably GNU make.
Source code (current and old versions, and patches where appropriate), in the form of gzipped tar file, can be found in the Source directory.

Good luck with porting (if you like it)
If you make it provide/replace osso-mahjong, it would be possible to uninstall default game altogether.

My n900 left to service (maybe for forever) so I will present my results this far. I hope that some day I will find a game as attractive as this has been.
Standard 1:44
Lotus 1:42
Confounding 1:55
Pyramid's 2:04
Tic-tac 1:57
Cloud 2:09
Red 2:09
Four 2:09
Pretty good uh? :)
