Hello,

Could someone tell me if there's an option in the mail application preferences that could allow me to retrieve my emails from the server without deleting them. What I mean is that I would like to be able to get my mails on the 770 and get them again at the end of the day on my laptop without having to forward them. I don't know if I made myself clear... Hope you guys understood.

as far as i notice, the emails stay at the server!

And if you delete them on the N770 it always asks you to delete it from the server or not!

but you can import an export your adresse books of
netscape messenger 7/6/4
Outlook express 6
Outlook 2002
Outlook 2000
and eudora pro 6.12

but i think we can look forward to a good sync app!

Thanks for the test Freakman.
Well I work with Macs...But I think I can export my Address book to an Outlook format so that would be a way around it. A good sync program would be great. Do you know if someone has made a calendar/agenda app for the 770 ?

Thanks again for your replies,

Manu

i think a fiew developers are working on this atm.

i found some screenshots of one of this apps:

Screenshots -> klick (http://www.kernelconcepts.de/~fuchs/nokia770/screenshots/)

as far as i know its a gpe-pim suite and you should be able to sync contacts with this app as well.

i'm going to install it later, to tell you how it works!

You may be wanting to look at the Maemo Contacts manager ported by Kernel Concepts from the GPE-Contacts app. (See http://oss.kernelconcepts.de/maemo/contacts.shtml .)

If you retrieve the mail, and stay "connected", when you delete items, it will ask if you want them deleted from the server. When not connected, it will simply delete the local copy.
