Hi All -

I was just wondering what the chances would be of MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) being ported to the 770?

Well, after checking this link, I think it is at least possible:
mame ports (http://www.mame.net/downports.html)

When it's going to happen and who's going to port it, I don't no. Someone might be porting it right now, ask from contacts listed at mame.com or mamedev.com. Scummvm is already ported and worked fine, though midi music (in MI2) was not continous. I'm thinking of setting up a maemo developing-enviroment and trying to port something, just to see how hard it is.

The 200mhz Tapwave Zodiac which runs Palm OS can do MAME. And that is really limited to older 2d games such as Rampage and 1942. Since it is already on Linux, I hope it will be ported smoothly for the Nokia and that they get the scaling right.

I'm willing to chip in the beer and testing time to someone who wants to start this project.

bump. SDLMAME is in the repo, works great, many games run full speed, and it supports the latest greatest rom set.

That's an extremely unhelpful report. Could you be more specific?

Edit: Locking this thread because it probably should have been left back in 2005 where it was. ;) Discussion of SDLMAME can go in the WIP thread.
