Nice job by T-Mo...but there isn't any 21mbps HSPA+ hardware available yet is there? Not even the N900...or am I full of it?

I wonder what the speed in CAlifornia is....

I live in northern CA, sacramento area.

on Tmobile network, with my N800 tethered to my SE TM506, I get about 760-800kbps download and about 200kbps upload.

will current 3G devices be able to take advantage of the HSPA+ speeds?

The n900 has a HSPA+ radio capable upto 10mbps compared to the iphone 3g's which is capable only up to 7.2mbps.

I must just use the data plan for my n900 and keep my g1 as it has the minutes on it... The dataplan does come with unlimited texting right?
thanks for your input

I think you're right that the N900 does have 10mbps HSPA (actually HSDPA and HSUPA to be more exact) which is good, but NOT 21mbps HSPA+.

But no biggie, 'cause I don't think anything else does yet either. Well maybe a USB 3G dongle or something is available, I dunno, but not phones. If I understand the situation, 10mbps is state-of-the-art for now and the next few months, at least.
