I think that current "active topics" layout for this Talk and Brainstorm makes very hard to follow what active topics are currently under debate / getting active, because maemo's getting enough mass behind it to make this a very active forum.
I propose that an alternate "home / active" screen for the Talk and Brainstorm which would list the active topics based on each category Talk (General, Community, Offtopic), Software, OS/Platform, Devices, Old, and as separate panel Brainstorm. Each community member could select to customize his home/active page to display only topics he's interested, based for example enabling/disabling panels, and filtering threads shown in each panel based on keywords, tags, make threads sticky.
In addition, RSS feeds with new posts on each category would be a very nice addition.
