Nope, complains that you need Flash 7. I guess the Flash client in the 770 must be 6 or something like that, not sure how to check it.

Oh, www.google.com/ig is rather limited. I think I'll stick with www.netvibes.com for now.
I like it for the ability to add and label note modules, tag bookmarks, customize the page title, Writely module, Flickr module, and the Gmail module is there too.

yes but there is not google search history and the link can't be clicked for open in tabs...
there is www.start.com for those who like MS :p

Yeah, I'm not that in need of search history and Netvibes has a built-in RSS reader and a built-in Podcast player. www.start.com sucks to the fullest, but www.live.com looks somewhat prommising if M$ is your cup of tea.

I plan on getting the 770 soon :D .Thanks.Would be happy to have a go for you, but I'm waaay too lazy to go creating accounts for each of these (given that I'm unlikely to use them again, going through all the signup, email verification, click the verification link etc etc four times over is waaay too much - and all using the on screen keyboard - nah, sorry :p )

PM me some logins and I'll report back (if you have personal stuff in there, you could create some dummy accounts for me and send that instead)...

Hope this helps :) D.

OK, cheers for that...

I've tried the writely site, but it redirects you straight away to:
http://www.writely.com/BasePage.aspx?action=badbrowser
Following their instructions, I also tried it with the &browserok=true parameter added on to the login URL, but unfortunately on clicking the sign in button with credentials from your PM entered in the login form, it briefly said "Signing in..." in red above the form, then disappeared, leaving me on the login page with the username/password still there.. Tried a couple more times, but no joy :(

Seems the Writely site definitely doesn't work at this stage...

If you want to experiment with the others, maybe grab yourself a copy of the desktop Opera browser and see if the sites let you log in and generally work OK... odds are they'll work OK on the 770 if they work in the desktop version (assuming they don't require Java or Flash version above 6).

Thanks a million dsmudger,

Oh well, guess I will have to use Abiword when I get mine. I didn't realize Writely doesn't yet support the browser. Thanks fot the Opera browser tip and thanks for taking the time out to check if it worked.

Writely does not work with Opera. See the "getting started" page.
