Built in Email Client - why is it so slow on IMAP?

It seems that every time I open the Inbox of the IMAP server I've donfigured, It downloads every mail again before displaying the inbox..

Whatever happened to downloading just headers and keeping them in the phone memory?

I've never had any problem with the N900's IMAP client.

It's certainly better to refresh the inbox contents every time you open the client then to looks at out of date cached headers.

A tip would be to keep your inbox under control. The fewer messages in the inbox the faster it loads.

Inbox has 21 messages; I don't think it can get any more "under control"
