I have an idea... please don't say "We already have a thread like that", cause we don't. My idea was to make a thread where everybody can post which SD/MMC card he/her has/had and how that card works in normal usage. There is already a thread, but only referring to 4gb+ cards and about ~14 pages with much redundancy. What I mean is that there are actually some few cards reportet in this thread and it's very unsorted:
http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3895&highlight=4gb+works

So my idea was something like that:

[Hello, god bless you all...blablabla]

Device: N770/N800
OS: (OS)
Card_type: SD/SDHC/MINI-SD/MICRO-SD/MMC/RSMMC ...
Manufacturer : (Manufacturer)
Model: (Model)
Working: YES/NO
[DMESG if not working and if possible]
Usage: [one FAT/ext2/jffs2/.../ partition] / [two parititons: 1.
FS[primary/logical][SIZE] , 2. FS[primary/logical][SIZE] ... ]

Just a simple form like that, without big "blabla" so we can easily collect information and have a "look-up-table" before buying any cards. Seems to me that there are a lot of crappy cards out there and that the Nokias don't like everything you put into them.

What do you think? :)

Wouldn't something like this make more sense on a wiki page? easily viewed/formatted table, no need for repeating the same entries, etc... much like the bluetooth/dun chart with various phones for the 770.

This would be better in a wiki. I started the original 4GB SD thread and it quickly became impossible to follow due to OT discussion etc.

Yes, that was the problem in the first thread. I thought if we have discipline, we could minimize the off-topic discussions...
However, the Wiki Idea seems to be better. How can one setup a Wiki on Maemo?

EDIT:
@GeneralAntilles: Thanks for making the first step, although we have no idea how to do this, yet :)
