FWIW, Nokia answered my question about warranty and service location after 20 days from question (better late, than never):
"The warranty is 24 month and can be claimed in your nearest Service
Point."
Not that I am having such troubles, but 770 was my first online buy from Nokia, so it is good to know, that there is no necessity to send it back to Belgium, if warranty is needed.
