Hello,

Has anyone tried the use the Debian package of Freemind (http://freemind.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page#Download_and_install) on the N800? I don't have my 770 anymore to try it.

Thanks,

Dave

You need Java to run Freemind, so it won't run on the n800.

BTW, I just tried to run freemind v 0.90 beta 19 under Qole's latest easy debian with openJDK -- and it works!!)

But, very slowly. It takes more than 2 min to start up, and response is 'retarted' to be useful.

For a much simpler version, you can try Labryinth. It runs on the tablet fairly well and allows you to do simple mind-mapping.

Labyrinth doesn't work with a virtual keyboard, last I heard.

any updates on this? I use Mac/N810 so having a program that runs on both would be nice. As far as I can tell there is no shared file format, nor import dialogue in either, for the other.

shoot.

any ideas?

Try Mindmeister www.mindmeister.com it is free!!!

The problem is that it is only for online use (except users that pay the offmeister service)

Notecase, a very good outline/note kind of program, is available for Macs and for tablets here: http://notecase.sourceforge.net/download.html
