Dark display?

I have a new N800. It has some darkness on the right side of the display (the lighting). Is that normal based on where the lighting is inside the unit, or did I get a bad one? It seems a little more pronounced when the unit is tilted away.

Unfortunately it seems to be the norm. I think someone a while back said it was due to the LED lighting being on the left and the light simply falls off as it moves right.
