Here is a much more believable pic of the N900 replacement and as it is now becoming much clearer on the future of the N900 this needs to be reported on here for everyone to read.

Got this also from http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/25/nokia-n9-or-something-in-the-wild-8-megapixel-camera-america/

We told you, didn't we? Whether you want to call this the N98, the N900's successor, or the N8 plus QWERTY, what you're looking at above is potentially the visage of Nokia's next smartphone. It's being dubbed the N9 by the folks at Negri Electronics, who also inform us it has an 8 megapixel imager on the back, 850 / 1900 3G bands (good for AT&T, Rogers, Telus, and Bell), and "ridiculous screen clarity." This sort of throws us for a loop, since we're looking at some straight Symbian action up there, whereas Nokia has told us directly that there'll be no more Symbian on the N Series after the N8. A clue to what might be going on is provided by the "C0" label at the upper left corner of this device, suggesting that it could be a future C Series member. All we know is that the thing seems pretty real and it's headed to a full video review in the next few days. Yay!

[Thanks, Jason]

Right, its symbian.

That other blog was funny too how they were saying it is only running symbian because it is a prototype and will get a fresh meego install before it is released.

Not at all. They just recently announced that the N8 will be the last N-Series phone running Symbian. They are switching the high end segment to Meego. More info on Google News.

Btw, this ugly thing seems to be an upcoming C-Series device.

Something dont seem right as the N8 has a 12mp camera and this one an 8mp so why would they bring out yet another Symbian when Nokia has already stated the N8 will be the last Symbian.

If this is so then maybe this will have Meego.

Sorry, Captain, but Nokia already announced similar thing before (October/November 2009) and continued producing Symbian devices after that. I guess it depends on what internal lobby wins inside Nokia. :)

This stuff is clearly not related to the N900 in any way, as it runs Symbian.
Even IF the N900's successor will be called N9, this is not it.

More proof: look at the picture. It has a caption saying "C0".
So my bet is: this will be a CSeries device.
