Im sure its normal all screens have this but I was looking at the n900 screen under direct bright outside sunlight today here in california and i notice the screen has like lines and dots or something within the technology of the screen I suppose, is this because its a digitizer screen touch or whatever its called.

You have to look hard to see something through under direct light of some sort try it ....

yeah it's for resistive touch. Every points is similar to graph grids of X and Y. All resistive got it.

Oh how come when viewing videos , games, etc we cant see the grid of the screen?

I assume that when there is more pixel information being displayed on a screen, the more it obscures that barely visible grid. That's just a guess though.

I can see the grid of the screen when viewing videos at maximum brightness.
