Need help with HANDS FREE for Nokia n900

I've got Nokia n900 recently, almost a year ago I've got Nokia BH-503 hands free set. for some reasons my new nokia n900 doen't connect to the set. it is bluetooth set, the telephone doesn't even see it.
Any ideas what to do?

may sound silly but have you try turning on bluetooth on n900 and announcing name? also have you check factory setting on how to sync headset i dont have one of those

well... I used the set with another nokia telephone. and yes, I've turned on the bluetooth in my Nokia telephone, actually computer did connected to the telephone via bluetooth.
