Language variants ?

Hello from Noobie. Could anyone share information if the Internet Tablet has language variants, so that a devices purchased from different countries differ in some way, or are all alike ?

What character sets/encoding the tablet support anyway ? I'm mainly concerned about roman languages, like german, swedish etc.
