View Full Version : Installed Applications fail to run

I installed severa third-party applications, and many of them won't run. When I first got it a few days ago, I installed and ran X-Terminal and Gaim, no problem.

Doom didn't work :)

Last night I installed Icebreaker, Maemo Blocks, Maemodrac, Maemosweeper and none of them run (and reinstalled doom). I'd think it was the appllication, but none of them work... it doesn't show the "loading" page at all... just... nothing.

any ideas?

Also, I haven't RTFM'd anywhere yet, but I have two questions:
1) is there a way to move installed apps from "Extras" to "Games," or wherever?
2) is there a way to show the battery life remaining?

Thanks everyone!

did you install the dependency app. the load applet. if not, dowload and install this:

One thing you'll want to make sure of before you get too far, is that you're running the latest operating system from Nokia. Open the control panel, open Device, open the About Product tab. 2.2005.45-8 seems to be the latest right now.

Answers:
1)no
1)yes, if you want to hack some system files
1)no, but maybe in the future they'll fix this oversight in an update.
2)all you get is an icon in the top right corner that looks like a battery with a chart behind it. The chart has four bars that indicate charge.

edit: it's always the simple stuff. :)
