having problems with http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=914062&postcount=1 step 5, i cant cd the boot directory without being root,
but leafpad closes when root upon saving the file!
anyway around this

The example code shows that the user has already switched to root user - the prompt is '#'. (for the normal user the prompt would be '$').

- you're gonna have to explain that 'cos it doesn't make sense.

Don't do it that way, you're obviously not a power user (no offence intended) so if I were you I would be using fAircrack (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=69009&highlight=fAircrack) rather than the CLI script version........

I think this is something I've often seen.
After becoming root, go to a directory, open a file for editing there with leafpad, when you try to save, Leafpad crashes.

I have since acquired the habit of just editing any configuration files from Filebox.

Oh I see. You could also do it the mans geeks way and use 'vi' :)

Leafpad will crash for root if the file doesn't exist.

Before the leafpad command create the file:
> /etc/multiboot.d/01-Maemo-2.6.28.10power46-wl1.item
