Hi!

I'm sorry if this has been answered already but i didn't find anything while searching.

Does the N9 support notifications from facebook?

On my Blackberry (workphone) i get notified when somebody writes a comment for my status in facebook, so does the N9 support that.

I just tested it. At the moment in the N9 there does not appear to be this feature. Even though there is a feature for "Push Notifications", it does not appear to link to Facebook. Rumour has it that something like this will appear in PR1.1, no guarantees though

That doesn't sound right are you absolutely you sure? You're from Oz right?
Maybe also check with the guys in the whirlpool thread...

I can confirm it doesn't have push notifications.

No it doesnt push FB notifications. Of course, with PR 1.1 facebook (and twitter iirc) will be upgraded quite a bit, and more so in 1.2 IIRC:

Currently no push notifications from Facebook are there...

However, you can show them manually by opening the Facebook app and then clicking on menu at the top (the double arrow on the blue facebook bar).

Then a menu will open and at the bottom of this menu there is a notifications button. When you click on it, your Facebook notifications open.

Sunny Brisbane. Same person that took your 64gb N9 that was reserved at Harveys and shipped it to the US :eek:. lol.

I've tried a few different settings and so on, asked friends to comment on my statuses, and it definitely does not have it at this stage. Haven't asked whirlpool yet (I go on there daily and post here or there), I highly suspect the answer will be the same. Push notifications are only email at the moment.

My phone's "About" says Meego 1.2 is this related? Is the PR1.1/2 update(?) only for the N900 or N950?

Sorry if the question seems stupid, you need to start somewhere :-)

PR 1.1 is first SW update, PR 1.2 is second update.

The About thing with Meego 1.2 isnt related, really :) .
