View Full Version : How to edit and call a phone number received over SMS?

Hi,

It seems it is not possible to edit a phone number within the dialer. Are there any workarounds? I have put down the use case where I am facing the problem:

1. Receive a number in SMS which does not have the ISD prefix -- need to put ISD prefix in order to make the call
2. If you click the number in the SMS and make call, the dialer does not allow you to place the cursor in the beginning and add the prefix
3. If you copy the number, go to the dialer, dial the prefix first and then paste, only the copied number comes up

The only way working for me right now is to either create a contact where I can edit the number, or just take a physical note and dial. If anyone can share a faster way, that will be much appreciated. Thanks.

use quickdial the app instead. the stock dialer has this as a deficiency.

Thanks. Is it this app you are referring to? I could not find anything called Quickdial on Google.

By the way, avatars don't display in Meefastdial, albeit they do on the demonstration pictures of the app. Am I the only one with this issue?
