..unless you manage to reverse engineer it. I think android version would possibly be easier. or that leaked unpacked client. someone already did this long time ago: http://www.oklabs.net/fakeskype-source-code/

Wow, that's some leap of faith! Nothing against their IP, but automatically assuming that reverse engineering is "for malicious activities like spamming/phishing"?

There is a saying in my native language, roughly translated as, "to the clean, everything is clean". Meaning, if you are honest yourself, you tend to assume that other people's intentions are also honest. I guess the reverse also applies.
