Hi!

I just picked up a Nokia 770, and It's everything I ever dreams of owning.

That being said, it does handle bluetooth, but unforunately, it doesnt handle bluetooth headphones right out of the box. Has anyone here found a workaround or requested this feature?

I just purchased the Motorola ht820 headphones which are amazing. Not only can you listen to music and other audio wirelessly via bluetooth, but you can also take a phone call on the same headphones with the touch of a button. In fact, they work *better* than the one ear peice, as they don't fall off when you exercise or run, and you can hear the caller on both earphones, which means you can hear in a crowded place. The microphone also seems to pickup better than the one ear peice bluetooth headsets. I'd love to pair this with my Nokia 770 so that I could listen to music (and of course use it with VOIP when it appears)

Any thoughts or ideas on this subject?

I also have pair of ht-820 and would love to use them with the 770. There is a bluetooth alsa project. I wonder if it can be ported to the 770? The ability to use stereo bluetooth headphones (and ordinary mono headsets) would be perfect. Think about listening to music, using VOIP and maybe use the microphone for recording. Yummy!

BlueZ is working on this, too. See Advanced Audio support for the BlueZ stack (http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/audio.html). I wonder if Nokia uses their own bluetooth drivers, or if they use BlueZ.

For more info on the ALSA bluetooth work, see Bluetooth-alsa Project (http://bluetooth-alsa.sourceforge.net/).

I am interested in these too. I assume it won't be long for a driver to make these work with 770, especially since Nokia announced several months ago information on a release of their own Bluetooth Stereo earbuds to compliment the 8800/01 phones.

How good is the microphone? Can people hear you well? I know that previous microphones have been developed to pick up your voice through your ear, but they were usually placed inside the ear, not over it. You don't stick anything in your ear do you? It is just like normal headphones, right?

How is battery life?

Just found this (from http://bluetooth-alsa.sourceforge.net/maemo/)

Status: We have code that runs entirely in userspace and will set up the A2DP connection and encode and stream audio over it.
No downloads available, but it's being work on.
