Hello!

Im consepting a kickstand Other half similar to N900 but a more wide and higher for myself or an universal mounting Other half (bicycle/motorbike etc), but since i'm still at he starting line, why not ask if anyone else is doing or thinking same project? Share or send PM if this idea is any near of usefullness. Feel free to consept your thoughts of matter at below.

Printing is done on Minifactory 3 single machine or Prusa i3 (when I got enough hard cash).

More to come someday.

what do you exactly mean by kickstand? Would that be some kind of sliding mechanism like the n97, e7 etc.? That would be awesom, but as far as I know that was something Dirk's discarded when he'd done the final design of the tohkbd.

But why not try again?

as far as I remember he was quoted in the article in german c't magazine not being able to get the necessary hinges. Manufactures he'd found wouldn't manufacture such low quantities.

I'v no idea if that's something 3dprintable?

i dont know, but i am afraid a sliding engine would be quite breakable and even too thick...

well, it certainly is kinda demanding, and the thickness of my tohkbd is bothering me to some extend.

My tohkbd with jolla is allmost as thick as my nokia N97 whereas the e7 of my wife isn't thicker than my iphone.

so what it comes down to is that thickness istn't a problem with tohkbd and maybe could be even more optimized.

discussion was going on at tmo prior to design tohkbd:

I am a huge fan of the mechanism that mighty SU-8W sports :D

one only would need to reverse the "zigzags" that hold the stirrup.
