I agree with Venomo, The green header does not go with the rest of the icons and background.

I would also prefer a lighter background (probably a gradient) than just black

I think it is dependent on the bible version you are using.

I did a search using the KJV and MKJV and these are my results

I agree with your suggestions, but i believe the application should also be finger friendly for those who would prefer not to use the stylus but their fingers.

There are quite a lot of bible apps for your Ipod touch like the Holy Bible by Paul Avery, Touch Bible, Logos, Acro Bible.

The versions you listed are not free and you would need to pay for them....
