Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player

I just noticed this useful feature was removed. (I think I was the one who requested it). I really do find this useful since I tend to add music to my phone a large directory tree at a time from...

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Alpha release of Open Media Player

I've been testing OMP for a few hours over the last couple of days. It is looking very solid now! Obviously a lot of work has gone into it.

Thanks!

One trivial feature request:

It would be...

Re: Boost N900! :)

FYI,

I ran your script and on my first call using the handset after rebooting, the caller complained about a nasty echo of their voice. I turned the volume down to what I thought it sounded like...

Re: External Charger - What Brand/Model?

I bought one from ebay which I think is this one. It works well for me, including the USB output which can simultaneously charge a second battery in the phone via the phone's USB cable.

Re: [Announce] USB hostmode beta release

Yes, I mentioned early in this thread that I had success (except for the 32 second thing which has been partially fixed) with USB RS232 adapters. I have three different adapters and they all work...

Re: [Announce] USB hostmode beta release

looks like the power loss after booston is caused by a trivial bug possibly caused by a last minute change in /usr/sbin/booston:
/usr/sbin/booston: line 9: syntax error: Unterminated quoted string....

Re: Unlocked FM-Transmitter frequency 76.0Mhz->107.9Mhz (Limitation Fixed)

Yes Thanks. I took a look at the new kernel driver source and saw the same thing. Next time I build my kernel I'll have to "fix" this. :-) I had been in the habit of adjusting the power as need...

Re: Unlocked FM-Transmitter frequency 76.0Mhz->107.9Mhz (Limitation Fixed)

Mohammad,
OK. It does behave as if it is locked which is why I asked. But if a non-zero write to the power control "file" locks it, how is fmtxd reducing the power level when USB is connected? ...

Or visit this thread from your phone and click on one of the download links and select "open with App. manager".

But perhaps I should also point out that installing experimental packages which...

Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

arnoldux,

I think the reason the original packages MohammadAG posted required the power user kernel is because they were compiled with thumb instructions which, apparently, are not supported by...

Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

My experience so far is that the non-thumb version I built of the patched library is not a full fix for the pauses and stuttering, but it does seem to reduce the severity. For example when listening...

Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

I have uploaded a patched libpulse0 package, this time, built without thumb instructions:

http://n900.awardspace.biz/libpulse0_0.9.15-1maemo38+0m5_armel.deb

This is the only package which...

Thanks Ima!

I have removed thumb from my DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS environment variable, and also from /targets/FREMANTLE_ARMEL.environment inside of scratchbox. Quick tests of a libpulse0 package built...

Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

After building with 32 bit ARM instructions, the library sizes are much closer, but there are still differences in the object code that would seem to only be accounted for by changes to the source...

Re: [Testers needed] New pulseaudio package

f2thak, if you are implying Nokia considers pulseaudio to be closed source, I don't see how they could. It is LGPL licensed code. Though, they do develop this component in the dark, they still have...

Re: Maemo 5 Portrait mode Xlib application porting
