I just disabled the automatic gps and network positioning and my battery life has since doubled. Definitely one to try if you don't need gps often.

I'm in Brisbane and managed to change the time zone.

Settings > Date and Time > Time zone. Then it shows the map and I was able to click on Australia.

Have you tried that?

You can email them. They changed my order within minutes. But I don't know if you can still change the price now after the shipping status has changed.
