Somebody has/had added bluez-utils 3.23 into his own repository (apt-cache policy bluez-utils will tell the source usually). Normally it won't install (overwrite 3.22 which is in the 50-2 release)...

I've seen similar symptoms with a bad memory card (if I remember, it was the 128 MB nokia-branded one that came with N800). It got stuck after 2 seconds kernel is loaded (while trying to load memory...
