I don't even expect or demand high-end hardware or anything that's ahead of the market feature-wise. All I want is an open system that's not tied to a specific "cloud", to a specific "ecosystem", to...

Re: Nokia's Flagship Lumia 900 obsolete in less than a year?

The best part is, you totally can't blame Nokia for not allowing WP8... This is what happens when you put the entire future of your company in control of another company. Microsoft can do whatever...

Re: Sad news; Nokia apparently killed Meltemi

If there was no Elop, N9/N950/808PV/N10 would have been backed with full force and would actually get Nokia back at the pole position. Going with their OVI Services + Qt + MeeGo + Symbian + S40...

Re: Must read! Tomi Ahonen roasts Elop's decisions

So pre-elop team set up the disaster? They're the ones who created meego/the N9, which has won lots and lots of praise. They're the ones who developed the 808... which again. is getting huge amounts...

Re: Must read! Tomi Ahonen roasts Elop's decisions

OMG You need to shut up!
Elop is the one most destructive force. There is no pre Elop team setting up anything negative that will endanger their jobs other than some bloat that could have been dealt...

Re: Amazing - Elop lays the axe on Symbian, MeeGo and QT

Qt will live on for other open source projects.

This is without a doubt the dumbest move in Nokia history.

The summary pof Elops statements today:

With WP7 there is no space for MeeGo and Symbian any more. Symbian will have its place in the short run until WP7 is ready.
MeeGo is called a "community...

Re: Who's still around and interested in N800/N810?

Re: Maemo + Moblin = MeeGo

I was excited until I saw the move away from being a Debian based distribution. As a developer and Ubuntu user, I loved it. Now, I'm sad.

EDIT: I was also sad when Moblin made the switch.
