Please try if chmod +x /home/user/MyDocs/.maps/poi.dbchanges anything for mappero.

How would that make a difference? Unless the OP has changed the MyDocs format from FAT32 to something like ext3, that is. Err, have you, goodearth?

Did you manually create the .maps folder after backing it up?
Did you by any chance do it as root to prevent user write-access?
Did you try to delete the folder and let mappero create it it during...

Hmmm, that's weird.
Only one thing to check whether selected maps in Mappero match the folder name in .maps (but I guess that is also correct).
Out of ideas ... :(

If there is only the poi.db under .maps then you just miss the map tiles completely!
There should be some folder like OpenStreetMapI or others.
Did you delete them?
Or have auto download maps...

For me Mappero works fine.
And also OVI maps.

That sounds to me more like a read access problem on your MyDocs (p1) partition. Maybe file system corruption?
Please check and elaborate a bit...

I noticed the missing thermometer in specs as well, dunno where it dropped off the table, but I didn't concern too much since it's actually pretty hard to make a good thermometer that probes for real...

no fremantle software can deal with dual-sim mode. besides, this mode needs 'double gsm' hardware. so the answer is 'no', i believe.

Click on this (http://repository.maemo.org/extras/pool/fremantle/free/r/rootsh/rootsh_1.8_all.deb) in maemo browser then: sudo gainroot, install fapman and never waste your time with app manager
