Well you could try copying instead of moving:
sudo gainroot
cp -Rf /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/hicolor/* /usr/share/icons/hicolor/

Yours will be mv MyDocs/.documents/hicolor/* usr/share/icons/hicolor

Just sudo gainroot

mv MyDocs/.documents/hicolor/* usr/share/icons/hicolor
