You can access the dashboard in the n900 by pressing Ctrl+backspace.


In my case, I use shortcud and I've mapped the camera focus to show the dashboard. I've got used to it and is very useful.

If you tap the top left hand-corner of the screen (the avatar on the very first tweet basically) the application does minimize - its a very small area (granted) but I have v2.9.0 and works perfectly...

Minimise it but pressing in the top left hand corner then select a different app, if you have the new sound warning you will then know when you get a new tweet?

progress update: have managed to compile latest version (0.8.0 by mikeage) for maemo5 - oauth doesnt work atm, but more stuff works using supertweet api - work is ongoing

Yes, it is reliable and it shares the 3G connection over WiFi

I'm not sure how you can share the device's WiFi connection over... well... WiFi, so I guess that's a no on the HW level.

I disagree. There are times when Opera Mini is the perfect browser based on your connection.

While Opera Mobile is a fine browser when the connection is good (3G/WiFi), it suffers when on 2G...

It is called python-evolution.

Install it via console (apt-get install python-evolution) as root.
These kind of packages are not visible to the endusers.
