It's a pain and I assume it's one reason why this app is in perma-beta.

I recommend buying Resco Backup. It takes a second and all your apps and data are back. No need to reinstall anything.

A good free app I used to use on my Treo 650 was NVbackup, I should see if that works on GVM...

I loved my Treo 650. To this day I think it was the phone I was the most happy with.

Yeah strictly as a *smartphone* it was way better than the N900. The interface was just so sleek and fast to use, you can tell they did a lot of testing in real-world situations.

But as a handheld PC with a phone the N900 is king, and it's far more useful to me overall even though the phone side of the N900 is rather clumsy.

Same here. The N900 was the first device that improved on it for me. I went through at least 7 Treo 600's and 650's in total because the 600's screen was really bad quality and prone to dead pixels and the 650 also had issues early on. I still have a 650 but I've lost the sim holder.

For those of you running all applications from the "SD card", there is a NOP application which does nothing. I installed it with the VM. When it is launched, the application exists and the emulator returns to the home screen.

From: http://www.palmpowerups.com

It can be found in the experimental section of the downloads, or direct link:

Sorry but I didn´t get what you´re wanting the nop application for. Please give some more explanation.

As there's no way to "launch the PalmOS launcher" from the GarnetVM User interface, "nop" is an application that WILL appear on the list of applications in the GVM user interface. When run, it will just spawn the launcher and exit.

Well, here we are, almost in November and still no news about a new beta or about a final version. I am starting to get nervous. Has any one heard any thing?
