If the price reported on the verge is right, it's a very decent tablet for $249. I'm due a replacement for my Nexus 7 2012. The N1 is on the list. Jolla, you're up next...

Especially considering the ridiculous price of Nexus 9. THe N1 with 7.9" screen and 3:4 ratio is a nice looking device.

Re: Nokia N1

Since Nokia N1 and Jolla tablet will have very similar chips (Atom Z3580 for N1 and probably Atom Z3560 for Jolla tablet) with the same video inside - PowerVR G6430, probably the N1 will be one of the first devices Sailfish OS 2.0 gets ported over ;)

Just so you know :)

Bay Trail has worse battery life, will eat that 4000mah battery for breakfast. Probably the exact CPU is not decided yet and could depend on the success of the campaign.

Hmm... with proper power management maybe it could last a bit longer, they need open drivers dammit

Hmm, on the other hand I can't seem to find a single Atom Z2xxx CPU that is real Quad Core... All of them have 2 cores + HT.

Stskeeps mentioned this will be probably answered officially during the campaign:

It doesn't mean it won't be PowerVR ;) See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PowerVR_products , search for "Intel" on that site. Intel has a license for some of PowerVR products, and e.g. GMA 500 is in fact a rebranded PowerVR SGX 535... GMA 3600 and GMA 3650 (also few other chips found mainly in Intel Atom line) are also rebranded and/or slightly modded PowerVRs according to the Internet... So maybe it will be called "Intel GMA XXXX" which doesn't really mean it won't be PowerVR chip ;)

Are there drivers for those open (http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag...item&px=OTE0NQ)? If license includes those fine by me

I wouldn't count on it too much... I have a netbook with GMA 500 mentioned in linked website, but (as far as I remember) I never really managed to have the open driver working with it... I would be pleasantly suprised if there were open drivers for the chip used in N1 (or in Jolla's device), but I think it is very unlikely to happen :(

Nokia should return to making rubber boots, they were excellent.
