Meltemi's secret was that it killed the app every time it was swiped to "background". It could have only one app open at the time. Quote:

^ Glorious design.
Like N9 as a tablet; seems tobe the same sort of hard plastic cover. Pretty sure that is a full-size USB port. The device is thick compared to current standards. |

Re: Nokia Meltemi OS & prototype
i have read many articles but i am still scratching my head. maemo, meego, meltemi. i read somewhere that meltemi was for cheaper devices but why meltemi why not maemo5, why they kept reinventing the wheel twice thrice. i am panicking obviously :D

Re: Nokia Meltemi OS & prototype
^ all sorts of products are labeled in a seemingly illogical manner, esp. operating systems and graphics cards (seriously, the way Nvidia number their cards makes it impossible to even guess at which era they come from... smh).
Or Windows: 95...98...2000 makes sense so far? OK, enough of that: XP...Vista...7...8 good! we're back to sequential numbers! so Windows 9 is next, right? Right? ...somehow I don't think there'll be a Windows 11 next... |
