Warning: don't do this if you don't have SSH access enabled on your device. You would have a hard time reverting. :)

I tried following this, but my results didn't look like picture, I guess I got something wrong, it kind changed to a new homescreen where I could swipe left, but the graphics were all screwed up. Do you need the 3rd package linked in the blog post?

The picture is of lock screen, instructions for homescreen, no instructions yet for lockscreen afaik

Yes, I actually myself never got to try Glacier on SFOS, only on N9/Nemo and that was *years* ago.

So what is the Glacier-on-SFOS status nowdays, anyone developing it actively?

Update QtQuickcontrols nemo add necessary controls like dialogs, time/date picker and etc

I did bring up in a community meeting a while back about Splitscreen multitasking or some other more visual form of multitasking to Sailfish, and we concluded that we should implement it into the glacier UI.

I was supposed to set up a meeting to follow through with this to get the implementation details down and get some people together to actually work on it. but I haven't gotten round to it yet.

The interface looks very nice. Question, feature-wise: does Messages app display avatars of users from Contacts? Because long list of white default avatars in screenshot of Messages looks boring.

I did this on Sailfish X... It did not work. Only a black screen after install. (good thing the form tells you how to revert)

What exact version of SailfishOS 2.1 did you install this on?

I tried on 2.1.3.7 on Jolla C but I too get a black screen.

I have both an Xperia X and a Motorola Droid Razr M running Sailfish 2.1.3.7. I tried it on the the Razr M as a test and also got the black screen. My Xperia is my daily device, so I didn't want to try it there :D

This is now merged and I just tried the instructions on my Sony Tablet and all looks well :D Actually the big multitasking windows seem like an improvement over the Silica Homescreen for tablets

After uninstallation i get really strange OS behaviour. critical store problem, sensor fails, no mobile/sim connection, active calendar icon fails, etc. you name it.

Usually problems heal somwhat randomly after 1-2 nailbiting reboots. However quite strange.
I now removed gl. components as well (libglacierapp) and hope it clears problems.

Thats..... interesting. What device? It sounds a lot like the old btrfs problems we had on Jolla 1.

Those other components should have nothing to do with any of that.
