Re: Ubuntu Jaunty for the N810/N800

digging through the wayback machine at internet archives ...
showed not only what it had over it's lifespan...
but also what was salvageable...
and it isn't much (at least via internet archive)
it netted an already posted garage page at maemo for a few themes...
not alot else.
It didn't get alot of traffic...
it struggled multiple times to stay afloat,
was bought or lost to a russian (I believe) interest (didn't seem maemo oriented after that...
lost again...
in short ...
'bout it...
You'll have to tell me what you come up with searching through Fravia's meta site...
It's possible you will find more...
But I am doubting it....

It seems that maemobox.org in it's day was an attempt to host storage.... for maemo projects.
I think it didn't go over gangbusters ...
unless there is access to those projects (doubtful) and those files (doubtful again) as few as they are...
and I imagine that as well there was a privacy issue concerning said accounts (naturally) and access to them would violate all kindsa stuff I wouldn't want to deal with....

Well don't things just serendipitous-ly come about..
If you are interested in content...
esp n8x0 content...
I suggest writing as soon as possible.
Been a long time..
But today I got a message from Penguinbait concerning his now gone site.

I have a great deal of the (n8x0) files from his now defunct site.
But optimally it would be best if we had a running access to said site and everything it had.

If you are interested (and with his permission) in cloning and hosting (in a section) on your new site...
then it may be possible to clone his old site and put it back up.

I can refer you to him after posing this and asking him for his ok to do such work.

However...
If you are NOT interested then get back to me...
and I'll simply ask him if I can clone the site at least for archival storage, as a backup safeguard, for all his pertinent and great works.
