Re: [DEV] sfdroid: run android in a window

Success to rooted sfdroid in oneplus one but I face hard bug to access security settings , I try to enable install non market apps.
So I fix that to replace data folder with another but still get error message but after all I can now install non market app apk. :)

The main I thing that sfdroid missing is to allow to uninstall apps many time getting reboot logo screen from Server.

Re: [DEV] sfdroid: run android in a window

Is it possible to get telnet access to applications running inside sfdroid?

With the application MockGeoFix you can send NMEA data via telnet to be used by any android app.

The GPS data from SFOS can be viewed with
Code:

QT_LOGGING_RULES="*.debug=true" /usr/libexec/geoclue-hybris
Maybe the pure NMEA data can be stripped ou of this stream and send via telnet to the app and get GPS working inside sfdroid?

I've installed sfdroid on Nexus 5 with CM12 and Sailfish 2.0.4.13, but when i open it it remains charging with the blue logo and nothing happens, what should i do?
With that port of Sailfish jolla camera doesn't work, i'll try camera+

Now that sfdroid works, is there a way to see the files of sfdroid in SFOS ?

Re: [DEV] sfdroid: run android in a window

I am having difficulty starting sfdroid.

It is a clean install using the Sailfish OS 2.0.4.13 image. I am using MultiROM.

Followed this instructions except for the 2.0.4.13 instead of the 2.0.1 image.

When trying to start sfdroid first time, it hangs at "Android is starting -- Starting apps". After waiting for a long time, I rebooted and now I only get the animated blue cm logo.

Trying to start from command prompt, I get:

Code:

nemo@localhost ~]$ /usr/bin/sfdroid.sh

Few others are having similar issues. Any help appreciated.

Thanks.

Try installing it with the older version and only then do an update.

some users face problem stopping calls in oneplus one after installing sfdroid in sailfishos image with 2.0.5.6 some user notice that after remove init.sfdroid.rc the calls back but that make impossible to using sfdroid app because it not start without this file

is there solution to fix this problem without remove this file

I have not been following this thread much, so sorry if this is a naive question: is it possible to use that on a Jolla (not Jolla C) as a way to use a more recent version of Android than 4.1.2 ? There are too many applications I can't use anymore because of the old Aliendalvik, and if Sfdroid could allow running them, that would be perfect.

Hi.

Bumping this thread. I'm also interested in the same question.

Re: [DEV] sfdroid: run android in a window

well sfdroid is moving at a slow pace, it's current form is anbox + sfdroid rendering method which requires kernel patches, and for most of us haven't been able to boot into anbox yet. mal has with touch input, so that's something, but I believe he wants to clean up that code before the rest of us can continue working on it and give another crack at it.
