Of course it would be unfair for somebody to recieve more than one device. I am just thinking trying in more than one category to increase chances to win one device. If somebody is eligible for a device in two categories he should recieve the one in the category with the fewest paricipants, and the other goes to the first runner-up.

Whoa, there are still undistributed N950s.

I wonder how many Nokia's keeping out of the distribution channels?

I'd be interested in N950i, if it would have at least 1 GB RAM like N9. But I can manage also w/o hw-qwerty I noticed when I had SGS2 for one week (friend's). I used the virtual kb but also using BT kb was easy and small enough to carry always with a backbag. (I have this.)

edit:
oh, n950 does have 1 GB RAM, I remembered wrong. It was the battery which was smaller and abit turnoff when I've also noticed the standard battery in N900 is way too small

Okay, it's possible to play Cut The Rope on Nokia N9:

Where I could take my prize from?

Guys, this is a thread for collaboration and work. There are plenty of threads out there to do something else.

You are smart and you understand what do we mean when we say "N950".

Now, could you invest your time here e.g. sharing your opinions about my proposals on how to address the New Apps @ Nokia Store and the Qt 5 Mobile Projects? It would be useful since I will start those as soon as we feel there is a consensus. Thank you.

Re: Summer'12 Device Program

Can you explain this?

The devices will be distributed through 4 activities:

1- 25 devices for the maemo.org Coding Competition.
2- 25 devices for the maemo.org Community Awards.
3- 25 devices for existing community apps being published at the Nokia Store.
4- 25 devices for Qt 5 mobile projects.

I understand point 1 and 4, but:
Point 2- What means "maemo.org Community Awards"?
Point 3- If I put an existing app to nokia store (like my last.fm radio), I'm automatically in?

Re: Summer'12 Device Program

New apps @ store: We could make a wiki page, each participant can point to one application that is out in the wild and not in Nokia Store and write a small text describing it. Then we could form a commitee that will decide about usefulness/innovation/difficulty/interface and give a grade for each one of these aspects. The average (or weighted average) can be used to determine who gets a device and who doesn't.

Qt5 mobile projects: Is there a special goal that Nokia/QtProject want to achieve with this activity? Are there any special new features in Qt5 that developers should be encouraged to use?

If yes these should be stated clearly and made a prerequisite. If not, seeing that updates and ports are probably being downplayed in the maemo coding competition this year maybe it's a good idea to give the awards to porting Qt4 applications to Qt5.

Of course every participating application should make use of the Grue Sensor API at least once.
